My gr grandmother, Sarah A. GREGG, was born June 22, 1834, Connorsville, IN. She is shown on the 1850 Centre Twp, Hancock Co., IN census, age 17, in the residence of Joseph R. NIXON, who would have been her stepfather.
The 1853 marriage application states that she filed proof of being a resident of Marion Co. Since Hancock Co., IN is next to Marion Co., I'm guessing that she might have taken up residence there for employment.
The name, Sarah A. GREGG, is very common, and I'm trying to determine if the Sarah on the above marriage application is truly my gr grandmother.
