Hi-
I'm looking for info on Francis Gregg (1820) who married Elizabeth Mary Price (1823) in 1842-Wales Pontypool/Gwent/Monmouthshire -4th quarter.
They had 2 children born in Wales before going to America , Thomas (1844) Sophia (1847)
1850 census puts them in Cumberland/PA
1860 census puts them in Allegahny/Pa with William 1846(who isn't on 1850 census),Mary 1854 , Frank 1859 .
John W. was born in 1861.
John W. and Frank worked for Carnegie Hoop Mill for a number of years-long enough to earn a pension. Both families lived in the Sharon and Monessen area of Pennsylvania.
John W.(1861-1940) was my great grandfather.
m. Elizabeth Ellis abt.1885
(b.Wales 1861-63/d.Youngstown,Ohio 1951 88yrs.)
children: Mary Elizabeth 1886 Capitola 1888
Francis Ellis 1890 John william 1895

I have info on the family during and after the civil war
and John W.(1895) to present, yet I still have many blanks to fill. I would be greatful to gain any info on this family, and happy to share what I have.
I am also interested in Francis and Mary Elizabeth before the family immigrated to the US- family in Wales,Who may have also traveled with them,What became of their other children after the war, etc..
If you can help,or I can help you, please e-mail me.
Thanks so much.
-Marcia
