Hi Barbara,
I was born in New Kensington, Pa and wonder if our Gregg's may connect? My paternal great grandmother, Nancy Jane Smith Laughlin, was the child of Adam Smith and Emily H. Gregg. Adam and Emily lived in Jefferson Twp. Allegheny Co. but Nancy Jane and my great grandfather, Reynolds Laughlin, lived in New Kensington and Arnold, Westmoreland Co.,Pa.

Emily H. Gregg Smith's parents were Henry Gregg born May 16, 1794 Northern Ireland and Annie Carson born abt. 1794 Pa. One of Henry's brothers was William Phillips Gregg b.1814 Pa. and married to Mary Jane Snyder. William Phillips died July 29, 1899 Saltsburg, Westmoreland Co., Pa. They had 8 children but I only have the name of one, Peter Clausen Q. Gregg b. 1849. Henry had another brother James b. abt. 1807 Pa. and married to Ann b. Pa. James and Ann had a son named William b. 1843 I would assume in Pa. This is all I have entered in FTM on him. May have more in my paper files.

All of these Gregg's lived at one time in and around Westmoreland Co., Pa. Hope you are familiar with these names and we can fill in each other's blanks. A now deceased Gregg relative traced our line back to Norhern Ireland.

Thank you,

Lona Laughlin Boudreaux
Monroe, La
