O. D. Greer
MINDEN, LA - Funeral services for Mr. O. D. Greer will be held Monday October26, 2009 at 2:00 pm at Eastside Missionary Baptist Church in Minden. Officiating will Rev. Richard Methvin and Rev. Don McCormick. Interment will follow at Gardens of Memory in Minden. Family will receive friends from 4:00 till 6:00 pm Sunday.
Mr. Greer was born August 8, 1924 at Mt. Lebanon and entered into rest October 22, 2009 in Minden. He was a WWII veteran of United States Army, retired automotive instructor at Northwest Louisiana Vo-Tech, and a charter member and first ordained deacon of Eastside Missionary Baptist Church.
His wife of 61 years Edna Greer, and daughter Sandra Moss preceded him in death.
He is survived by his sons Richard Greer, Kenneth Greer and wife Karen, Tim Greer and wife Donna all of Minden, sister Juanita Ward of Atlanta, Texas, eleven grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be grandsons Jeremy Greer, John Greer, Jamie Walker, Scotty Greer, Brandon Greer, Justin Greer, and Jordan Greer.
Honorary pallbearers will be the deacons of Eastside Missionary Baptist Church. Rose-Neath Funeral Home
