Those Greer participants in various DNA studies who are not on my mailing list might be interested to look at:

where you will find an excel chart of all known Grier(son)/Greer participants, together with some reports and speculation of mine about our ancestry. In particular you will see that there are three ancestral groups of Greers, one of which I believe to be early southwestern Scottish (the M222+ group), one ancient Irish group, and one group of Viking ancestry.
Two of us are awaiting further results, after which I will update both the charts and my interpretation of them.
You will note that there is absolutely no genetic evidence of any connection to the MacGregor main line (the Chief's line).
