The family starts with John Greenup 1770-1836 coming from England. He married Catherine McIntosh and moved to Monroe County, Kentucky in 1808. His brother Christopher served in the American Revolution Attaining the rank of Colonel and In 1804 he was elected the 3RD Governor of Kentucky. His Grandson was a Methodist Circuit Rider Preacher and Founded the Methodist Church at Bethleham, Kentucky. I am looking for any family members that are still living so i can fill in the blanks. I would greatly appreciate any help. You can email me at
