Hello Julie,
I'm afraid my Greensmith research is in the Rotherham, Rawmarsh, Greasbrough, Laughton en le Morthen areas so is probably not of any use to you. But say if it is.
If I come up with anything that leads me to Bradford and/or Leeds, I'll certainly let you know.
Your original message about Henry and Amanda had prompted me to look them up on the '81 census and this led me to Gildersome, Amanda's birth-place. Was Ellen Greensmith, widow, 66, born Bradford by any chance Henry's mother ?
Regards, Ann.
