Lori,
Maybe someone on the list will be interested in this:

DAR Index says Amos Loughry (or Lockry). born after 1755 died before 12 Nov
1808 PA married Nancy Greenland Patriotic Service PA.

The application did not use Maryand service but Patriotic Service. PS
includes such things as Express Rider, Member of Boston Tea Pary, Delegate
to Continental Congress or Provincial Congress, Member if a Committee made
necessary by the War such as a Committee of Safety, Signing and oath of
allegience or association or providing supplies or provisions. In PA there
was a special supply tax to support the militia and any one who paid that
would be considered having done PS.

If you want a copy of the application send check for $5 made out to
Treasurer General NSDAR and send request to Record Copy, Office of the
Registrar General NSDAR, 1776 D Street NW Washington DC 20006.
