Amos Loughry who married Nancy Greenland had brothers, John and James. They were the son of John Loughry of York Co., PA. The elder John was born in 1737. There should be more information on the Loughry page on this forum.

I believe the family was originally from Germany, settled in York County. There are two Amos' in the line.

Amos Loughry who married Nancy Greenland was a friend of Moses Greenland. He was much older than Nancy, actually closer to her father's age. Amos died of consumption and she remarried.
