Lori, thanks on the condolences. My mother actually was killed by a drunk driver near Newhall, not Newton.

Thanks also for this information as well, great stuff here. Harlan (I'm 90% sure this is the correct spelling) was a great guy. I remember he came and lived with us the last couple months of his life. He only had one arm, which I remember really freaked me out since I was just a kid. Apparently he lost it in some sort of farming accident, but I never realy heard the whole story on that.

Emmett was indeed a bachelor up until his death, and I asked my Aunt Betty about his religious afiliations and never really got a response so I think this may be a sore subject. I would assume that it was Emmett who may have had these records sealed. I do have a mother-in-law who is Mormon, so maybe she can shed some light or help out in this matter.
