I dont know if this is a good link or another branch of the family, but here is some information which might help us both.

3 Greening brothers (one was Stan, another I think was Alan, other unknown) born to Daniel Greening railway engine driver from Birmingham UK emigrated to montreal sometime about 1900. One served in Canadian Army in England in WW1 and joined by his English brother Frank Donald Greening, a railway fireman for a while. Daniel drove trains in England and then India but returned to UK when Frank born circa 1870's and was the landlord of a pub in Lozelles, Birmingham.

Brothers in Canada did very well in business, as did their sons.

Any links with the Birmingham Greenings?

The Gloucestershire Greenings seem to be a very strong source of the family and were clockmakers etc, Daniel Greening's father was a gun finisher in Birmingham.

If the link is good will be happen to exchange other information.
