Jane - sorry that your message posted in June, last year, has only been seen by me today.
I have just published a book titled "GREENING - an English surname over 500 years" which tells the story of one Greening line from John & Christian who were tenant farmers in Gloucestershire, England in 1507. That line is YOURS.There is a full page photo in the book of your Great Grandfather Harry with his very moving obituary and other details (also, of course, details of his ancestors).Harry Richard Greening was my Great Uncle (so I am your second cousin, once removed).
