Sorry, Alan - it is not the same person. I have checked my records. the engine-driver in the photo is Thomas Greening, born in Gloucestershire in 1853 (place unknown - believed to be Wooton-under-Edge). He lived at Church Stretton, working from the railway depot in Shrewsbury. He later moved to Pontlottyn, Glamorgan.

I am afraid my excitement at seeing something about a Greening on the railways ran away with me.

Unfortunatly, the photo has gone missing. It had been in the possession of his daughter Elvira in Pontlottyn.
