Paul
Apologies for the previous spelling. Appear to becoming dyslecsic. Just forgot to mention though that I am in Perth Western Australia and would appreciate any information your Grandmother may be able to let me have if relevant to my branch of the Family.
Another thing just to record it and for others who may be interested.
During the battles of the Armada many Spanish sailors who ships were sunk or shipwrecked made it to the shores and escaped inland. They were taken in by villagers all over the West Country and hidden from the English soldiers. They settled and married into the Communities taking the names of the places in which they lived. Thus some Greenhams may not have the lineage that some may be searching for.
This is a story that I have come across from other Greenhams
but have never been able to verify it. Wondering if your Grandmother has come across the same story.
