Where did the "Greenhalgh" come from? The baptism was John Billingham, not John Greenhalgh Billingham.
What name did Ellen use in the 1841 census? Where was son John in the 1841 census? What name did he use in the census? There is no John Billingham listed as being born in Bolton in the 1841 census. As he would have been 12, his age would have been exact. He is not to be found under Billingham in 1851 either. When did he emigrate?
