I would like to find living descendents of these people:
James Holsworth Greenhalgh was born 1821 in London, England, died 1870 at Valognes, France, was a medical doctor or surgeon. he was the son of James Greenhalgh senior born 1785 but I don't know where, don't know who his parents were....
No marriage has been found but James Holsworth Greenhalgh's spouse was Sarah Ann Dyke who had first been married to John Sherrott in England, by whom she had daughters Theresa Ann born 1842, and Amy Ellen born 1847, both in England. Amy Ellen went with her mother to France, Theresa married William Joseph Ennever and lived in England.
James Holsworth Greenhalgh and Sarah had seven children together:
A daughter Anny Greenhalgh, born about 1849 in Jersey
A son James Greenhalgh born about 1851; not sure where
Frederick Greenhalgh born January 26,1853 in Bricquebec, Manche, France
Dedwin Greenhalgh born March 29,1855 in Bricquebec, Manche, France
Emily Greenhalgh born April 30, 1857 in Yvetot, Manche, France
Robert Greenhalgh born May 14,1859 in Yvetot, Manche, France
Julia Greenhalgh born October 15, 1862 in Valognes, Manche, France.
I would like to thank Marie-Laure Leroux and Barry Ennever for this wonderful information which now allows me to work on another part of my extended Greenhalgh family. James Holsworth Greenhalgh was a brother to my own ancestor Mary Sarah Greenhalgh who was born in 1824 in London, England.
Marie-Laure said that Frederick Greenhalgh lived in Rouen, Seine Maritime and he was married to a Mrs. Leconte, and he died in Valognes, on April 12th,1883.
Sarah Ann DYKE died in 1902 in Rouen, Seine-Maritime, France and her sons James and Robert also lived in Seine-Maritime.
