Greenhalgh Family Genealogy Forum

Sorry Peter I thought maybe the family names might just ring a bell with someone. James and Ann? probably came to Australia in the 1840's, or they could be children of convicts but I have researched lots of James Greenhalgh and been led up the garden path. They may have never come to Australia but I would like to know from what part of the Uk they hail from so I can pay for a proper research to take place. In Australia they had a son Samuel who was born 1846 and died in Penrith in 1937. He married Emma Jane Player in 1870 in Sydney. They had a son Samuel James in 1876 in Hartley NSW and died in 1953 in Parramatta NSW. He married Sarah Elizabeth Lalor in 1896 in Sydney, she was born 1877 Sydney and died in 1947 in Parramatta NSW. She was th daughter of Richard Lalor a local politician in the Penrith area. They only possible other James Greenhalgh that I cannot find any information was transported to Australia on the 24th June 1843 but I do not know anything else about him, he does not appear on the claim a convict index.
Any help would be greatly appreciated as I have come to so many dead ends and have so many certificates that do not provide much more detail that what I have collected.
Thanks Peter
