The Greene surname is too common to claim a relationship with General Nathanael Greene based on this sketchy information.

Group 001 on the Greene Surname DNA Project website probably represents the general's DNA (one of the two men tested claims a descent from David Greene a known near relative of the general). http://www.familytreedna.com/public/Green/default.aspx?section=yresults

The genealogy of the general is available on the internet as well in at least two published genealogies.

You need to trace your family history back one generation at a time, finding documented proof for each generation.
