Kris; I hope you are still around to get this answer. The Greenes and Tillinghasts originally hailed from Mass. and Rhode Island. The first mix of the names was an Amey Tillinghast and a Greene , though I don't remember which one. I'll get back to you on that as I have a Tillinghat book at home. Since then, people have used the name, Tillinghast , for a first name ever since although it seems rather clumsy to me. I once tried to find a Tillinghast Seibles in So.Carolina once but failed. The first Tillinghast was Pardon Tillinghast jr, from Alfristan, England. You shouldn't have any trouble finding him. The Tillinghast name is also on the gen-forum. That should help. Elton.
