My gg grandfather, Cornelius Green(e) was born in Canada and came to the U.S. (McLean County, Illinois) in the late 1850s or early 1860s. He later moved to Denison, IA, where he raised his family (wife Charlotte Servoss, children A.C., Ida, Jennie, Emma, and Mildred). His parents were (we think) James and *Betsy* Greene, and they were English.

My Family Tree Maker program is on the fritz, or I'd have more specific information for you. I'd love to know if there could be a connection; I actually have old (150 yrs) family photo albums of the Greenes, and some of the photos were taken in Canada.
