Job Greene, son of Fones Greene b. 23d Mar. 1689-90 and Rebecca Tibbbetts b. 1695., died 29th Mar. 1798 at Coventry, R. I. Was Ensign and Lieutenant in Rhode Island Troops, 1776-81. m. 30th May, 1745, Mercy Greene, b. 31st Oct. 1725, d. 8th Apr. 1800, dau. of William and Sarah (Medbury) Greene, and granddau. of Peter and Elizabeth (Arnold) Greene. Peter Greene was the son of John Greene, Deputy Governor of Rhode Island, by his wife, Anne Almy, and grandson of Surgeon John Greene, the immigrant.

II. William, b. 15th Jan. 1748; m. Mercy Knight.

V. Stephen, b. 9th Jan. 1757; d. 5th Sept. 1829; m. Sarah Chase.
VI. Mercy, b. 1762; m. William Rice.
VII. John, 15th Mar. 1767; d. 11th July, 1840.
VIII. Samuel, b. 13th Apr. 1769; m. (firstly) Barbara Sheldon; m. (secondly) Mary Lippitt.
