After looking at the Joseph Greenaway NC enumerations, one central question comes to mind:

1. In the 1768 Rowan County, NC Tax List of Capt. Thos. Donnell there are enumerated:

Joseph Greenaway
Joseph Greenaway Jr. 2

2. In the 1790, Morgan District, Burke County NC Census there are enumerated:

Greenaway, Joseph ~
1 Male 16 years & upward including head of families
1 Female including head of families

and

Greenaway, Jos., Sr ~

2 Males 16 years & upward including head of families
1 Male under 16 years of age
3 Females including head of families

Is it reasonable to assume that the Joseph Greenaway, Jr., of 1768 Rowan, is the same as the Joseph Sr. in 1790? I wonder this due to the family compositions and the 22 year interim time frame.
