George Green 2/21/12
At this point I am willing to consider anything.
How can there be so many possibilities and not one proof?
I have also found in the 1870 census, Oxford, in Chenago County NY.
Green, Jostus(?0, 39 yrs old
Juliette,30
John,7
Mattie,5
Wood, Julia,21 house servant, b. in England
I suppose it would not be impossible that in 1890 when John would be 27 and Julia would be 41(Mrs. Robinson?) that they could become Georges parents. Oxford is in the same county as Bainbridge which is where George W states he was born on Nov. 28,1890
I have also found in the 1900 census for Schenectady, 2-Wd.
line 42,Wood, George 37,all b. in England
Emma,35, wife
Lilco(?) 12, dau.
same page:
line 49, Green, Jane E. 70,wd.,had 3 children, all living
George35, son, single, b.1864 in NY
could this be John D. Green and Julia E. Wood realatives?
I do not know where Bainbridge NY is but, I wonder if Georges birth certificate (if there is one) might be of help
