Funeral services were to be conducted at 2 pm today at Greenup Christian Church for Silas F. Greenslait, 81, who died at 3:40 am Saturday at the home of a son, James, of Raceland.
Mr. Greenslait was a retired carpenter.He also served as justice of the peace and police judge in Greenup.He was born in Greenup County Aug. 5, 1875, to James and Mary Greenslait.
Surviving beside his son are a daughter, Mrs. Beatrice Graff of Hillsboro, Ohio; a brother, Charles of South Shore; a sister, Mrs. Lizzie Warring of South Shore, nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Rev. Ray Russell was to conduct services and burial was to be in Brick Union Cemetery at Grays Branch, directed by Evans Funeral Home at Raceland.
