I don't have very much information about Reuben Simpson Green and Sallie Ann Sallee. I think that they were both born around 1850. I found them in the 1870 Census in Williamson Co., Tx. and in the 1880 Census in Llano Co., Tx. I don't have any information on their parents or siblings. As far as I know, they probably had five children. Bethena (married John Frazier), Dora Mae (married Leo Gobin), Oliver, Ervin, and my grandmother Mattie Lou. Mattie Lou was born on Aug. 26, 1877 and died on March 26, 1911. She married Francis Calhoun Teague on June 11, 1899 in Llano Co., Tx. They had seven children, Willie, Frankie Mae, Ernest, John, Jossie Fay, Lura, and J. C. When Mattie Lou passed away they were living in Knowles, Lea Co., N. M. Mattie Lou passed away when my Dad, John, was only five years old. He met his Aunt Dora, but she was the only one in the Green family that he ever knew. So, that is the reason that I don't have much information and don't know anyone in the family. I would love to meet some of my family and perhaps learn a little bit about my great grandparents.
