I am wondering if anyone knows of any connection of this Robert Green to Newfoundland and Boston. My ancestor John Green lived in Boston area in 1770s,with his brother Robert Green and one other brother(name unknown),before moving to Nfld. about late 1778,an area they were already connected to.
What intrigues me is that when John Green married in Nfld.,his sons were Robert,James,John,William, and the name Nicholas Green(e) appears often in their descendants too. Each of the sons also ran the same names for their sons and so on. Our name alternates between Green and Greene in those days,and indeed until about 1930 in some cases. Our Green(e)s of that time were Quakers.
