This might help somebody to identify Farnifold.What information traces your family back to him? Do you have the names, dates, & places for the couples in your direct line?
Google says Farnifold / Furnifold GREEN (30 May 1674, St. Stephen's Parish, Northumberland Co., VA - 1714; s/o Anne FARNEFFOLD & Timothy GREEN) m. 1697, Bath Co., NC, Hannah, wid/o John SMITHWICK, Quaker, who d. 1696, Bath Co., NC.
GREEN children:
Elizabeth, b. 169_, m. 15 May 1715, Daniel SHINE
Thomas (169_ - 1714, he & father killed by Tuscarora Indians)
John (1702 - 1730)
Farnifold (ca. 1704 - will 15 July 1759, Craven Co., NC)
James, m. Mary GRAY had Farnifold, Jas., Thos., Joseph, & John
Jane, St. Thomas Parish, Bath Co., NC.
On 15 Aug. 1698, Fornyfeild GREEN & wf. Hannah, Jas. HOGG & wf. Ann, Thos. PIERCE & wf. Mary, sold to Wm. LONG, interest in 250 acres of land of Lawrence CONSOLVO, decd., by Indian Creek, Yeopim River, Perquimans Precinct, Albemarle Co., NC, recorded Jan. 1699. Albemarle & Bath were original counties discontinued in 1739.[Hannah must have been dau/o Lawrence & Sarah CONSOLVE / CONSOLVO.]
On 9 Sep. 1701, Furnefold GREEN rcd. 550 acres for transporting 15 persons, then Bath Co., as Beaufort was formed in 1705 [recorded Beaufort Co., I:9].Farnefold GREEN made a will 26 Oct. 1711, pr. 1714 [Book 2:10, Bath Co. records].
