In Beaver Co., PA, 1930, there were McELHANEY, Lester, b. ca. 1893; Rosa B., b. ca. 1894; Velma A., 1913; Floyd E., 1914; John L., 1918; Ruth E., 1919; Calvin B., 1921; David D., 1923; Dale L., 1925; Ray C., 1927; & Cora B., 1929.
Social Security Death Index may have some of the above:
Lester McELHANEY (23 Je. 1893 - Jan. 1981, E. Liverpool, Columbiana, OH)
Rosa McELHANEY (30 Jan. 1894 - Nov. 1977, E. Liverpool, OH)
John McELHANEY (13 Apr. 1917 - Nov. 1979, last res. E. Liverpool, OH)
Floyd McELHANEY (25 Nov. 1914 - Dec. 1984, E. Liverpool, OH) all except Rosa's SSN issued PA, and Columbiana is just across the state line.
Couples in Beaver Co., 1930, old enough to be the prior generation included Walter, b. 1870, & Cora, 1872; Howard, 1873; & Johnathan, 1871, & Florence, 1875.There was no Aminda GREEN anywhere on the US database for 1930.I checked FamilySearch database of the 1880 Census, but I didn't see any Aminda BARNES who would fit.Do you have any idea what the initials in J. E. GREEN stood for?
In 1880, Springhill, Fayette Co., PA, there were GREEN, Cabvin {sic, Calvin?}, 34; wf. Charity, 33; ch. Ida S., 12; Walter R., 10; Evia D., dau., 8; Maya M., dau., 5; Winney C., dau., 4; & Harrah M., son, 2.
Since GREEN is such a common name, you'll probably need to find death certificates, obituaries, or possibly Social Security applications to prove the parents.
Could you post the information from the Bible?Other names might be clues.
