Green Families-Cleveland County, NC to Bell County, KY 1870
Looking for any info on these two families who migrated from Cleveland County, NC, to Josh Bell County, KY, in time to be enumerated on the 1870 Federal Census:
District 1, House #140, Family # 132
Martin H Green, age 52, born in NC
Phoebe, age 52, born in NC (Maiden name Ledford)
Rebecca, age, 21, born in NC
Virzilla, age 19, born in NC
James, age 18, born in NC
Martha, age 15, born in NC
Joseph M, age12, born in NC
Columbus R, age 10, born in NC (Doctor C on 1860 NC Census)
Rachael A, age 2, born in NC
Sarah S, age 9/12, born in KY
District 1, House #141, Family #133
Tilmon P Green, age 30, born in NC (Son of Martin & Phoebe)
Minerva, age 33, born in NC (Maiden name Cogdell)
Salina J, age 3, female born in NC
Gilbert, age 1, born in NC
William T, age 3/12, born in KY
Martin & Phoebe's daughter Drucilla & her husband Adney Cogdell (brother of Minerva) were also enumerated in the county in 1870, however they returned to Cleveland County, NC by 1900.
Were these three families in the county in 1880? Where are Phoebe, Martin, Minerva & Tilmon buried? Did they stay in Kentucky or move on? How many more children did Minerva & Tilmon have? Any clues to these families will be greatly appreciated.
