Hello John, When I was there some 20 years ago, I went to the local library to research my roots and it did help. You might want to try the same. However, I know a lot of people who did come from that part of Kephalonia. My father is Dimitrios Kampitsis and my mother was Maria Metaxa. My grandfather was Andreas Kampitsis and my great grandfather was Nicholas Kampitsis. My father has a house in Keramis which dates back to some 300 years ago. It was one of the only two that did not fall during the great earthquake. It is right beside a small ancient church. Next time you are there, drop by.
