Searching for any connections to Peter James Manos, bn 26 April 1887 in Sparta, Greece (from US Death Certificate) - died 5 Oct 1942 in Franklin, Warren County, OH. Married to Florence Chamberlain & had 5 children, all of them in East Liberty, OH. He was a candymaker and had just opened a candy store in Franklin. His obituary says he was from Sparta and had one brother & 2 sisters still in Greece in 1942.

We heard that he was an illegal immigrant, a stowaway when he as 16 years old (c.1902-1904). And that he had relatives in the Hamilton, OH area. Also heard that his original surname was phonetically "Tsalimedes". I probably have the spelling wrong. Nothing else known at this time of his origins or immigration.
