When you make certain claims, it would be nice if you back them up with some proof. There are many Greeks of Italian descent and others with (yes) Turkish blood, and yet others with French ancestry.What is your point. That 40% figure is misleading. Would it be just as valid to say that 40% of Albanians have sprung from Greek families? (although I have no proof and do not personally believe it, claims are just that, claims)
I've traced my family back to 1770 on all lines, that is 20 unique surnames in total, and not one is Albanian, although one is Latin and one is Byzantine.
