My grandfather was born at the back of the Prince of Wales Inn, Moseley, Parish of Kings Norton 6 November 1878. His father Henry Greaves (Publican's Brewer), mother Louisa Greaves formerly Smith.
Older brothers Arthur and Walter and younger sister Annie.
William Greaves enlisted in the Royal Engineers 8 June 1898. This was after his mother Louisa died and his father married 2nd wife Mary Ann. At about the same time his brothers and sister also left home and their address, recorded in William's Army Account Book on 12 July 1898 is given as 10 Midland Grove, Edward Road, Balsall Heath Birmingham.
My father is now 94 and never knew anything about the Greaves family apart from the above. It would be of great interest to learn about lost relatives
