How about Henry Greaves baptised at St Mary's, Nottingham, England on 24 April 1817, a son of John Greaves, publican, of Redhill near Nottingham, and his wife Margaret, nee Fisher, married 4 July 1806? Henry had several siblings including Samuel Fisher Greaves whose family migrated to Australia in 1854 although Samuel's fate is a mystery. It is believed that Henry also migrated to Australia but died in Mudgee in 1859.This may or may not be correct but we currently have no other information about Henry, and do not know the name Payne in our family history. We do know that John Samuel Greaves, a son of Samuel, lived in Mudgee in the 1880s where he had a successful drapery business.
