Searching for william hoyland, b. 1841 m louise greaves-- my husband's great great grandparents. I am looking for any information on her parents, siblings, etc. Also, am interested in the Hoyland family, since there is a conection on this forum. His great grandfather was also named William. Oral tradition says ggf served in the Boer War and that gf (b. 1884) walked across the Canadian border into the US when he left England. Tradition has the family originating in Sheffield and husband had set of cutlery that had belonged to the earlier family. His father was Adelbert C. Hoyland b. 1903 in Cedar Rapids IA, m. Pearl Celeste Junker or Usher. Any information would be great. Thank you.
