i have just started to look into my greaves family history.
My grandmother was joyce greaves b1920 strensall,york.Joyce was illigitimate,her mother was Ada greaves b1889 at strensall.
Ada was the daughter of Edwin greaves b1848 at tingewick, buckingham.edwin moved from tingewick to rishton lancashire between 1871 and 1881.edwin then settled in strensall york.
Edwin was the son of james greaves and sarah denny who lived at tingewick.
