My 4x gr Grandfather was Judge Daniel Grass who married Jane Smeathers in 1800 and settled in Spencer County ,Rockport Indiana----My connection to the Greathouse family thru the second child born thru this marriage a Elizabeth Grass b 1803 in Ky--she married John Buche Greathouse in 1821 Spencer County Indiana--The letter I make reference to was written by Miss Laura Mercy Wright a great grand-daughter of Daniel and Jane Grass and I will Quote what she has written QUOTE " My mother who is in her 90th year had written and said her brother, Daniel Greathouse and Uncle James Grass visited a cousin in New Albany , ( Corydon ) Indiana when young men " end quote----my James Grass b 1818---I have done a lot of research on my side and have no idea who this cousin might have been, perhaps someone in the Greathouse family can help me solve this puzzle---I am still trying to find the parents of my greats grandfather Daniel Grass and trying to find any leads at all----any help or ideas appreciated---Dick
