Are you saying John Cassels (that died abt. 1816) , that his parents were Henry Cassels and Margaret Mitchell.

Have you tried to put this Greathouse/ Cassels genealogy thru the Sons of the American Revolution (SAR)
I had a speaker come to our Genealogy Club meeting once that spoke about the Daughers of the American Revolution (DAR) and she said it is much more strict to get a genealogy proven thru the SAR.
As you can see I am still not convinced that the Greathouse family is connected to the Cassels family. I am a Cassels and my DNA matches the Mennonite/Quakers that came into Germantown, Pennsylvania in 1686. And I am also a proven connection to the John Cassels of Georgia that died in 1816. Do you have the names of Johns brother and sisters.
