O.D. Greathouse

O.D. Greathouse, 87, of Yuba City died Aug. 27, 2007, at Fremont Medical Center.
Born in Terry County, Texas, he was a Yuba-Sutter resident for 61 years.
He was the owner of O.D. Greathouse Construction Inc. and was a general building contractor.
He was a charter and life member, as well as a past governor, of the Loyal Order of the Moose No. 1204; past board member for Valley Contractors Exchange; and on the board of directors of the Walton Fire Protection District.
Also, he served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Lucille Greathouse of Yuba City; a daughter, Karen Greathouse of Live Oak; four sons, L.D. Greathouse, Barry Greathouse and Milton Greathouse, all of Yuba City, and Russell Greathouse of Clovis; a brother, Bud Greathouse of Yuba City; a sister, Juanita Dickson of Oregon; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Donations may be made to a charity of choice.
Services: Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Ullrey Memorial Chapel in Yuba City. A graveside service is scheduled at 10 a.m. Friday at Sutter Cemetery, 7200 Butte Ave., Sutter.
