Hello Tom,
About Jacob Greathouse being killed on a flatboat on the Ohio... there was a Greathouse killed while going down the Ohio on a flatboat. That part is true.
However it is a myth that this Greathouse was the same Jacob Greathouse who was supposedly involved in the massacre of Chief Logan's family at Yellow Creek.
The Greathouse killed on the flatboat was actually Jonathan Greathouse, who was Jacob's younger brother.
I have more info on this incident that will post later.
