My Father, Jeremiah Greaney, came from Ballyguin, Co. Kerry to New York City in the late 1920's. His full brothers and sisters settled mostly around Hartford CT, while Jerry took a job in Waterbury CT. Half sisters and brothers settled in England and New Jersey and New York State. Jerry died in 1969 at the age of 61. Many relatives still there in Kerry and we've visited them a number of times. If I can provide any other specific info, I would be pleased to do so.
Interesting to note different spelling of name. Wonder about pronounction of name-we were always pronounced as if "Gray-knee".
