In your research did you come accross a JOHN GRABILL(spelled however) born 1/12/1817, possibly son of Jacob Grabeel???(this is a realitives guess) He is my ggg grandfather and I can't seem to connect him with anyone. He was born in Harlan, KY or in VA(he listed VA as his birth place on 1880 census, and in his obituary says he was born in Harlan, KY.) He married SARAH "Sally" SHELTON WOODWARD on 1/2/1840 in Lee Co., VA. Does any of this sound Familiar?? They moved to Missouri in 1844. Where they settled and some of their descendants still live (Like my father). Their childrens names were:
Henry H. 10/28/1840, died in infancy,in Lee Co,VA
(my cousin has it listed as Henry W.)
John W. b.3/14/1842 in VA
Jacob Andrew b. 7/7/1844 in Clay Co., MO (my
gg grandfather)
David H. b.9/4/1847 in Rushville, MO
Melinda Elizabeth Rhoda b.12/28/1580 in Daviess
or Harrison Co., MO (Married Floyd Blankenship
who was born in Lee Co., VA)
I don't know any of his siblings' names (or parents' names for sure) all I have to go on is the names of his children.
