Hello Cousins,
Due to the cost of reprinting which is way beyond my means and the fact that much more is known now than in 1982 I will not be reprinting. This book would take major updating to make it current. It should start with Johannes (Hanss) Grebiel(and his earliest ancestors), John Graybills father and the immigrant of 1723 and include all his children not just our John. We are very close to finally knowing the European roots of our Graybill line. Johannes was most likely born in Eggiwyl, Switzerland in 1698, exiled to Holland with his parents in 1710 and immigrating to PA before 1725 with brother Christian. Johannes most likely returned to Europe in 1727 to bring another group of Mennonites to PA, arriving on the "Friendship" in 1727.
When this revision is done (?) it will include info connecting all of our Graybill/Krahenbuhl lines back to our earliest Swiss origins. When I will attempt this revision is unknown but I await more coming info from the Dutch Menonite records at Amsterdam which will likely be available in the next couple of years. These records should yield much new conclusive info on our Johannes (Hanss) Grebiel who was in PA much earlier than we had thought. It is known our earliest immigrant was at Conestoga Township in 1725, arriving in 1723. There is also much confusion in the Graybill lines to be cleared up.
Sorry about the delay, but I would rather start new with newer info than reprint a book needing extensive revision, info that Noah did not know then, much has been revealed since 1982s 2nd edition
Cousin Marty Graybill
