I'm looking for my great grandfather James William Graves, born around 1834/35 who was in the Civil Service possibly in Malta. He married Emily Seriphina Edgerley (born 1855, daughter of James Miller VC) in India in 1883, a widow with two surviving children (William and Henry). This marriage produced two surviving children: Edwin born 18 Sept 1884 Ferozepore India, living in Leeds in the 1930s; and Lillian Frances (my maternal grandmother) born 14 March 1890 in Calcutta, died 1959 Maidstone.
James had had a previous marriage with two grown up daughters who were in India as well.
Does this tie up with anyone's family? Graves in Malta, India and also family in Leeds from the 1930s?
