I had a great grandfather by the name of Olivier Gravel, possible other spelling would be Oliver Gravell. I don't have birth date however I have an original marriage contract between Olivier and Margaret Fitzpatrick dated July 1, 1878. From what my mother is able to tell me Margaret was born Ireland and lived in Kingston and Olivier was born in France. Olivier was a grocer in Montreal and then farmed on land owned in Kingston which was subsequently sold and is now the Cataraqui Golf and Country Club. I believe they had 9 or 10 children, Eva Ann Gravell b. Dec 30 or 31, yr unknown, d. March 31, 1945 NY, NY, married Sept 22, 1927 at Church of the Good Thief, Frontenac to Joseph Michael Lee b. August 26, 1888; d. April 3, 1945 Ny, NY. At present I don't have birth dates for the other siblings Florene married to Albert, William married to Hildred, Fred, Ida, Leon married to Ada, Avy, spinster, Albert married to Mary Ellen had a daughter also named Mary Ellen.
Any information you might be able to provide would be greatly appreciated.
