I have a marriage, at Sts. Peter & Paul in Lewiston, Maine for Joseph GRAVEL m. Demerise MARTEL 1 AUG 1881.
Parents for Joseph are listed as Marcellin GRAVEL and "Cedulie" CLOUTIER.
There seems a strong probability that Marcellin GRAVEL, married to “Sylvie” CLOUTIER on 05 OCT 1830 at St-Joseph-de-Beauce, is the same Marcellin GRAVEL, (father of Joseph Gravel married to Demerise Martel) at Lewiston.
The fact that Cedulie and Sylvie are not the same name has created some uncertainty for me however it seems that there is only one “Marcellin Gravel” who fits the time period.
Anybody with information that might confirm my suspicion, please email me directly or reply here.
