Philomene Gravel, daughter of Joseph Gravel and Marie Corbeil, was born and baptized on 1 August 1837 at St. Louis-de-Terrebonne Catholic Church. Source: parish records of St. Louis-de-Terrebonne, Terrebonne, Terrebonne County, Quebec, volume 8, page 155, baptismal record #81 in 1837; available on LDS FHL microfilm #1287123 (gives parents' names; says birth was the day of the baptism). She married Narcisse Martineau, son of Hyacinthe and Marie Chalut, on 7 May 1853 at Notre Dame Basilica in Ottawa. Source: parish records of Notre Dame Basilica, Ottawa, Ontario; unnumbered volume covering 1852-1855, page 107, marriage record #19 in 1853; available on LDS FHL microfilm #1301762 (gives parents' names and date and place of marriage).
I know of two siblings for Philomene: Marie-Honoree Gravel, born and baptized on 30 June 1839 at St. Louis-de-Terrebonne; and, Joseph Gravel, born 3 August 1841 at Ottawa and baptized the next day at Notre Dame Basilica in Ottawa.
Because Philomene's father married a second time on 21 Feb 1848 at Gatineau to Julienne Lambert (source: parish records of St. Francois-de-Sales Catholic Church, Pointe Gatineau, Hull County, Quebc; volume 1, page 19, marriage record #12 in 1848; available on LDS FHL microfilm #1031907 (gives date and place of marriage and first spouse's name)), she has three half-brothers. They are Joseph Gravel, born 16 January 1849 at Ottawa and baptized two days later at Notre Dame Basilica; David Gravel, born 15 May 1850 at Ottawa, baptized 4 days later, and died at Ottawa on 26 June 1851; and, Francois Gravel, born 20 May 1851 at Ottawa, and baptized the next day at Notre Dame Basilica.
