Descended from John Gravell, born c. 1849 Liverpool, the son of John Gravell a Jeweller. I have been unable to trace his birth on the St. Cath's Index and have checked the 1851 census indexes for Liverpool that are available with no success.
John Gravell (b. 1849) left Liverpool sometime before the 1870s by which time he was in Wallsend. Wondered if you had ever come across either of the above during your research as I know there were very few Gravells living in Liverpool at the time.
