Pierre-Odilon 'Peter' Gravel b: 27 December 1846 Notre Dame, Montreal, Ile de Montreal, Quebec d:08 January 1902 Portland, Multnomah Co., OR Buried: 1902 Belle Prairie, Morrison Co., MN Married: 28 January 1877 Belle Prairie, Morrison Co., MN Margueritte 'Maggie' Branchaud (daug of John Branchaud & Archange Bisson (Archange is where the Indian blood comes from her parents were Martin Bisson & Marguerite Elizabeth Beaulieu Martin Bisson moved to White Earth, MN and died there 11 May 1890 at the age of 93 years. His wife Marguerite also died at White Earth, MN 24 April 1896 at age 88 years.)
Many of the tribes adopted the non Indian spouse, so perhaps that is why Pierre is listed as Indian.
