John Grant, Sr. children's birth record-Campbell County TN
The information below appears to be, perhaps, a piece of evidence used to confirm or support John Grant, Sr.’s claim of Revolutionary War service. A testament such as this was often included in Revolutionary War Pension applications. James Grant swore that he was with John Grant at the Battle of Bunker Hill. At this point, I do not know the origin of this typed document, other than the fact that it is now in the possession of the Campbell County Tennessee Historical Society. This document, to a great degree, confirms my belief that John Grant, Jr. and Jonathan Grant were two separate people. They appear to be brothers.
(I took a photo of the page while visiting Campbell County Historical Society Oct 9, 2011. This document is in a Grant file they have there (Tammy Rawls-1 March 2013)

Well, now we know where Rufus Grant who married Lucy Parker got his name, don't we?!And he was a twin, how about that? When I was in Salem and had access to a lot more record books having to do with Tennessee,I found where James Grant testified against a Musgrove man in a divorce petition.I wondered where the Musgrove came in.Now I know. He was married to Polly Grant.
